A WEEK AGO, The Hollywood Reporter compiled and published a list of ‘The 40(ish) Most Powerful People in Comedy‘.
It contained all of the people you’d expect it to contain – Tina Fey, Judd Apatow, Lorne Michaels and Amy Poehler, of course.
The Hollywood Reporter got in touch with as many of these comedians as they could, ahead of publishing the piece, and asked them a few questions about various topics like their most memorable hecklers and dream product endorsements.
When it came to Amy Poehler’s profile, she didn’t really joke around. She seems to be as sick and tired of what’s going on in the world as the rest of us. Here’s what she had to say:
My most memorable heckler? ”Who cares. The world is on fire.”
Dream product endorsement? “A giant whale just died in Thailand after eating 80 plastic bags.”
I’m funny because… “I don’t even know anymore.”
Guilty pleasure? “Let’s not forget over 4,600 people have died in Puerto Rico.”
If I didn’t work in comedy… “I would never leave my house.”
College comedy audiences are… “Kids that are afraid they will be shot in their own schools. What happened to us?
The funniest thing about the Trump administration is… “Are you kidding me?”
